LESSON 2.13
Tell the Story
Grades 1-3
Task 2.13.1
Revise your story to make it more exciting.
Think about your audience
Your best friend, the class, or your little brother? Change it for them.
For example, if your audience is mostly young girls, you could make the hero (or even the troublemaker) a girl.
Sound effects:
Use simple props and tricks.
A galloping horse? Use a spoon in a bowl.
Magic spell? Whoosh your hand… etc
Dress up:
You can dress up as one of the characters from the story or as the storyteller.
Library time:
Tell your story at your local library or at school.
They’d love to hear it.
Record it:
Young readers would be more interested in hearing the story than reading it.
Record your story for the school’s library and tell the teacher it’s available.
